ever wondered what happens is you leave unfinished art alone for long enough? no...just me then welcome to my world of random questions that lead on to random pictures.
it is supposed to show a painting of a horse that has been left unfinished (hence no shadow in the painting (this time i didn't forget it!), and patches around the edges are not coloured in) for a long time (cracking paint on the walls - it took so long to find a picture that fit ). the horse in the painting got bored, and decided to leave the painting - as it leaves it turns into a real (if slightly shrunk) horse.
i spent pretty much the whole day on this, and quite like the result
absolutly everything in the image started out as a photo - including all the stuff in the painting - it nearly drove me mad, trying to get it all to look painted i'm not sure if you can tell, but as the horse steps out of the painting, it changes from "paint" to an unmaniped photo - the head, and bottom halves of the front legs have been left alone.
originally, there was supposed to be something that ad coaxed the horse out of the painting - at first it was food, then it was going to be another horse, then i decided to leave it like this
i must have used a million layers - each marking had it's own layer, the painting had about 4 layers, the horse's body has at least 3, but i think it is more than 3, layers. plus all the shadow layers, and background layers
let me know what you think
